My relationship with Christ began at a young age. I am very grateful to God for parents that loved the Lord and showed me how to love God. When I consider my story of coming to faith in Christ, I am reminded of II Timothy 3:15, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” Much as this was Timothy’s testimony, it is mine. At a young age I came to an understanding of my sinfulness. Of course, the sin of a child might not seem great by our measure, but I understood it as great before God. I recognized my need, and believed the Word of God as it was explained to me. I understood that Christ died for my sins, and that His gift to me was eternal life if I would simply trust in Him for salvation. With child-like faith, I believed and I received Christ. This decision was and will always be the greatest decision I will ever make. It set the course of my life.
As a young teen, I had the opportunity to hear a missionary home from China speak about his field and God’s call upon his life to go and reach the people of China. I was greatly convicted by this man’s testimony, and I told God my life was His and I would do with it whatever He had for me. God lead me after high school to a Bible college in Knoxville, TN where, while completing my Master of Divinity, God began to reveal to me the direction of life and ministry that He has for me. I meet my beautiful wife, Charity, while attending college. God was also working on her heart about future ministry.
In July of 2011, we followed God’s direction and moved to Groton, CT to assist Pastor John Ludka at Community. God has given us three beautiful little girls: Abigail, Madison & Emma. It is our delight to serve the Lord as family at an amazing church. Please consider serving God with us at Community Baptist Church!
